Unseen by the naked eye, but felt in the soul. God’s eyes are open to the ways of all, and He understands the intent our heart. He knows why we do what we do. Nothing catches Him off guard – nothing surprises Him.
He is in control. We can trust Him unchangeable and genuine. God knows the beginning from the end. Our times are in His hands. His plans are established and executed according to His will. All the days of our lives are marked out for us before dawn’s early light.
He is love. He touches with His tender mercies. They’re new every morning. Let us take His hand because acceptance replaces the piercing blows of self-destruction. He loves us as faith rises in the soul. Such love is an everlasting love.
God allows what He allows, Trouble passes by our door, or it enters according to His will. We see hard times, trials, and even persecution, but we’re never alone. Trouble can only go so far, and then it must turn back. God uses whatever happens to melt, mold and create in us into His masterpiece. He makes something beautiful out of our struggle.
Everything He does is good and right. He is good. He draws near to those who draw near to Him. Those who trust Him are secure. There’s comfort in knowing He is always good. Such knowledge brings peace to our heart for we are secure in Him.
Reconciliation is His idea. We will not perish – He’s established salvation for us. He saves us from ourselves and bears our grief. He carries our sorrow. Forgiven is the sin that so easily separates us. Nothing is too difficult for God.
An Ever-Present Help in Times of Trouble
He feels our hurt, sees our confusion, and senses our struggle. Our trouble does not paralyze Him nor does it catch Him off guard. God delivers us from our trouble. A whispered prayer finds relief in His presence. Help is on its way. He strengthens tired bodies and refreshes parched souls.
Is this the God you worship?
I think about who He is and enter the Secret Place to see Him. I wait for Him there and begin to pray:
I love You and thank you for You! I’m grateful we have history and all my past experiences have led me to this moment. Things I did not understand You’ve used to bring me here. I am who I am today because of You.
You’ve used our history to help me see who You are and my heart burns within me with gratitude. You’ve made Yourself known in whispered words of hope, love, encouragement, and even correction. I find my peace in You.
I lay down the emptiness of self-confidence, self-assurance and relinquish all rights to self. Trusting myself has done me no good. Holding on to what belongs to You causes such great heartache.
Your will is the health of the universe, the foundation of the world and pleasure of heaven. Wrap me in the comfort of Your will.
I love You, O Lord my strength, I will ever trust You.
In Jesus Name I pray,
In the echoes of my prayer, I wait to hear His voice. He whispers in my ear:
My child, I am the Lord, your God. What you have done is good. I receive you. Be strong and of good courage. Peace. Be still. Hush, My beloved. Don’t be anxious. I am here.
Draw near to Me and I will draw near to You. Nothing you’ve done, or will do, can keep my love from you. Nothing can come between us. My plans for you are good and I’ve made them so.
You can trust me.
Be secure in my trustworthiness and lean on my faithfulness for I will never leave you nor forsake you. Nothing is too difficult for Me. My grace is sufficient for I am the Lord, your God
Come to Me and I will give you rest.
Breathlessly, I move to leave the Secret Place. Surely the presence of the Lord has been in this place. I’m ready for the day. I wonder what He’s got planned?
Come, let us bow down in worship, let us kneel before the LORD our Maker; for He is our God and we are the people of His pasture, the flock under His care. Psalm 96:6-7 NIV
Praise the LORD.
Praise God in His sanctuary; praise Him in His mighty heavens. Praise Him for His acts of power; praise Him for His surpassing greatness. Praise Him with the sounding of the trumpet, praise Him with the harp and lyre, praise Him with timbrel and dancing, praise Him with the strings and pipe, praise Him with the clash of cymbals, praise Him with resounding cymbals. Let everything that has breath praise the LORD. Praise the LORD! Psalm 150 NIV
