You, O God, speak clearly –
Who are we that You care?
Who are we that You draw near?
All day long Your name blasphemed.
All day long Your character slandered.
They do not know You.
How can we know God? Not enough words to describe Him or enough ink to explain how He touches the soul. But knowing Him is a treasure – a treasure of great price. Our faith is built up and matured in knowing Him.
God is approachable because He makes it so.
He is worshiped in the holiness of His presence – the finite touched by the Infinite!
Come! Let us know our God
God is Lover of our soul
He knows us completely.
Let us allow Him to Shepherd us
Leading us to prepared places.
God unlocks treasures for our good pleasure.
He is our inheritance in Christ Jesus.
God cannot be hunted down like an animal.
Searched for something lost
Manipulated like man
God is not a click on the computer screen
The old man upstairs
Or does He come at our beckoning call like a servant
We cannot save ourselves from ourselves,
Only He can save us completely.
God moves to build our character
Draws us to Himself in mercy and grace.
No weapon formed against us will prosper.
Nothing will ever separate us from His love.
Let us know; Let us press on to know the Lord; His going out is as sure as the dawn; He will come to us as the showers, As the spring rains that water the earth. (Hosea 6:3 ESV)
God shields us from the enemy
Allows the enemy to go only so far.
Our enemy is limited and shackled.
God is unlimited and free.
He stands guard to limit the enemy’s power to destroy.
He heals and restores our mind, heart, body and soul.
He is God – whatever He does is for our good.
We do not pray to the universe – the universe prays to God.
He is not in everything – everything is in Him.
God is Sovereign over all creation.
Omnipresent – Present at all times
Holy! Holy! Holy is our God!
He, who designs our eyes, sees.
He, who shapes our ears, hears.
He, who forms our mind, knows.
God holds our hearts in His hand
He has a mind to know
Heart to love
God chooses us.
God’s hand writes His plans for us.
His thoughts are clear toward us.
He is the Author and Finisher of our faith
“The realization that God is active in all that happens at every moment is the deepest knowledge that we can have in this life.” (Jean Pierre de Caussade)
To understand His Word, we must know the Author.
Let us unfold and unwrap each letter like a precious gift given
His Word touches the sweet places of our soul
History reveals His story
God is all-powerful.
God is Creator
Everything is subject to Him.
He is not constrained by time – time is subject to God.
He is not held in place living in a building made by man.
He does not need us – we need Him.
He is our great and precious inheritance.
We move and live and have our being in Him.
He is our God, and we are His people.
We are made for His good pleasure,
Designed to glorify Him
In Him we are transformed, renewed and sealed by the Holy Spirit.
He is present in the praises of His people – honored in the heavenly realms.
At the edge of our need, He is there with hands outstretched
He meets all our needs according to His riches in Christ Jesus.
God is faithful and true.
Come! Let us know our God.
This is what the LORD says: “Let not the wise boast of their wisdom or the strong boast of their strength or the rich boast of their riches, but let the one who boasts boast about this: that they have the understanding to know Me, that I am the LORD, who exercises kindness, justice and righteousness on earth, for in these I delight,” declares the LORD (Jeremiah 9:23-24)
